Marrying humor and solemnity, I wanted to capture a composition that implies life, movement, and monstrosity. I glazed the piece red to add to its ominous, dangerous appearance. As for the texture, I wanted to create a surface that confronted the viewer with a sense of uneasiness. This piece stands on 7 fingers, and is made of high fire cone 10 stoneware.
