This sculpture commemorates Covid-19 as an unsettling creature reaching around with fingers. Marrying humor and solemnity, I wanted to make a piece that connotes life, movement, and monstrosity. I glazed the piece a brown-ish iron red to add to its ominous, dangerous appearance. This piece stands on 7 fingers, and is made of high fire cone 10 stoneware.
