With this piece I started exploring straighter lines, more reminiscent of fabric than elastic. Conceptually, my Escape Jars deal with contained emotions and compartmentalization: when you carry burdens with you, only allowing yourself to be vulnerable in private. I hope that viewers and collectors can relate to tis experience, and bring their own stories to the work.
The lid-fit on this piece is slightly wonky. The lip is slightly warped, so the lid fits from most, but not all orientations.
